A short introduction

Subtitlr allows you to grab a video from a video sharing site (such as YouTube or Google Video) and add some subtitles to it. This can help other people understand it and learn something from it.

Subtitling a video requires a lot of work and is best done on your PC or Mac. You can use any tool that generates SRT subtitles. Once done, you can upload the subtitles and others can enjoy them.

Often a video is already subtitled in some other language. In this case, you can help and translate it into your language. This will allow all your friends to understand it.

When you finish, you can share the link to the video with your friends or embed the video into your blog or homepage. Like this:
